Cirsium eriophoroides Perennial. 70 to 150 cm high. Stem leaves oblong lanceolate or ovate lanceolate. Terminal capitula, 5 cm in diameter. Reddish purple flower. Flowering: July to Sept. Helophiles, cool tendency, tolerant to cold. Himalayan endemic. Southeast Tibet. 2100 to 4000 m, grassy slopes. Sikkim and Bhutan.
