Roscoea purpurea var.
gigantae Perennial herb. 20 to 45 cm tall.
Lanceolate or oblong leaf. Short raceme,
terminal. 3 to 4 flowers, purple or bluish
purple. Flowering: June to July. Cool and
light tendency. Himalayan endemic.
Gyilong, Zhangmu, 2500 to 2600 m, forest
or forestedge. Northwest India, Nepal and
Sikkim.
